Winners of Inaugural AEJMC International Communication Division Online Media and Global Communication Best Paper Award Announcement

The OMGC Best Paper Award is presented byOnline Media and Global Communication (OMGC) to outstanding papers selected annually from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) International Communication Division’s (ICD) Annual Conference Paper Competition. The award is sponsored by Shanghai International Studies University, Center for Global Public Opinion Research of China andOnline Media and Global Communication. The award aims to promote online media and global communication research especially cross-national comparison research and online media research with global communication implications. Preference will be given to paper collaboration between Global North and Global South scholars. There will be two awards. All papers submitted to ICD’s Stevenson open paper competition are eligible for the OMGC Best Open Paper Award and all papers submitted to the ICD’s Markham student paper competition are eligible for the OMGC Best Student Paper Award after committee selection. All research methodologies are welcome. OMGC has the first right of refusal to publish the article in OMGC. Only authors who agree to submit the paper for OMGC review and publication will receive the award. Faculty Best Paper will receive $300 cash award and Student Best Paper will receive $200 cash award.
