Abstract:Translators play a significant role in exchanges and mutual learning between China and other civilizations, and their rich spiritual world is worthy of exploration.In this interview, Professor Xu Jun, as a translator and translation studies theorist, shares his experience and expresses his opinion on translators' view on translation and spiritual pursuance, translators' role in Sino-foreign cultural communication, translators' mission and responsibility in the new era, and so forth.His remarks profoundly demonstrate the original aspiration and pursuance of a translator, which provides great spiritual guidance for young translators and translation studies scholars to make progress.
