Abstract:In the era of cultural exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations, introduction of Chinese culture through translation to foreign countries is becoming increasingly important.To get Chinese literature and culture to "go global" in a more effective way, and therefore to create conditions to improve exchanges and dialogues, and mutual learning and symbiosis between Chinese and foreign cultures, are not only challenges for translation in the new historical period, but also important topics faced by translation studies and are in need of in-depth research.With a strong sense of problems and theoretital awareness, Professor XU Jun pays close attention to Chinese culture's translation and introduction to other cultures and carries out a series of in-depth discussions.Combining his important discussions and viewpoints, and starting from translation's cultural value and open spirit, this article discusses Chinese culture's introduction to other cultures, and tries to promote the role of translation in the process of enriching and developing human civilization.
