Abstract:The study of cultural translation function has been scattered for a long time, lacking systematic analysis.And the study of the positive influence of cultural translation subsystem on other translation subsystems still fails to fully clarify the position of cultural translation in the ontology of translation.Based on the vertical structure, horizontal structure and deep structure of text content, this paper reveals that for the vertical structure cultural translation plays an important role in reproducing the theme of the source text, for the horizontal structure cultural translation has the function of reconstructing the coherence of translation, and for the deep structure cultural translation can transfer the meanings of sentences.The results of this paper will promote the study of cultural translation to be rooted in the ontology of translation and further strengthen the theoretical basis of cultranslatology.
